Nelson's City Council is innovative and progressive in the development of the City. Council will assist new businesses to locate property, will "fast-track" approvals where necessary and will provide non-financial assistance with servicing and development options.

Whether the new company has the potential to employ 2 or 200, they offer the same degree of respect and assistance.

The City works closely with the Economic Development Office to promote and attract new businesses. This office, in turn, works with the Provincial Ministries, the Community Futures Organization and the Chamber of Commerce for the economic sustainability of all businesses in Nelson and area.
